The Murphys Witch Walk offers a wide range of sponsorship opportunities, accepting financial, product, and services donations, to assist in the promotion and growth of the Murphys Witch Walk and, moreover, the Murphys Business Community.
Cal-Waste is the largest, locally-owned waste collection and material recovery operation in the region, providing residential, commercial and industrial services to areas throughout Sacramento, Calaveras, Alpine and San Joaquin Counties. Its fleet of clean, white trucks services 16,000 customers twice a week, totaling more than 1.6 million visits per year. Although the company’s ongoing innovations have led to continual growth, Cal-Waste is most proud of its customer-first service, its commitment to reducing landfill usage through recycling innovations and its respect for its seasoned team of employees.
We are honored to receive a sponsorship from Cal-Waste in the form of additional 6 trash and 6 recycle receptacles for the 5th Annual Murphys Witch Walk. These large format 95-gallon receptacles will be placed in pairs along Main Street from the Murphys Historic Hotel to the intersection of Big Trees Road and Main Street.
It is with the sincerest appreciation we recognize the Murphys Historic Hotel for providing sponsorship of and property space for additional portable toilets, which will be located in their rear parking lot, next to the Bocce Court, across the street from Murphys Community Park.
Considered 'party central' for all events here in Murphys, the Murphys Historic Hotel, has been in continuous operation since 1856 and hosted well-known historical figures like Mark Twain, Ulysses S. Grant, Susan B. Anthony, and even Charles Bolton (a.k.a. Black Bart). It is said another longtime guest doesn’t seem to be leaving anytime soon—the ghost of Eleanor. A former maid at the hotel in the early 1860s, Eleanor most frequently haunts the kitchen and Mark Twain Ballroom by throwing things. Eleanor may not be alone though. Hotel staff and guests have also reported hearing children laughing, as well as seeing a gentleman ghost, which the staff refers to as John.
Friends Real Estate Services has been supporting the Murphys Witch Walk for as long as they have been the neighbor of Teresa Rodriguez's Potted Plum Gift Store at 90 Big Trees Road at the corner of Main Street. Owner John Friend, above, sponsors his own Open House to coincide with the Murphys Witch Walk, provides a barbecue cookout from noon until 5 pm and also the live music, this year, featuring Leilani and the Distractions from 2 pm to 5 pm out in front of his business office. He'll also have his awesome restored classic car on display for everyone to ogle over.
Half-Ass Adventures offers Event and Wedding Reception Mini Burro services. The relatively new trend of adding mini donkeys as ‘mobile coolers,’ aka: Beer Burros and Champagne Donkeys, as event and wedding reception entertainment, has rapidly gained popularity through the Southwest and Northern California with non-conformist revelers.
The Half-Ass Adventures mini donkeys, Jassmine, Daissy, Jassper and Lucass, will enhance, enlighten and enliven social engagement and interaction at special events as long-eared beverage servers, ring bearers, ice-breaking conversation starters, and incredibly accommodating models at “selfie stations” for one-of-a-kind photo opps.

Amid lots of fun, camaraderie and laughter, you and your guests can participate in countless northern California’s premier bucket list adventures as part of your conference, seminar or special event.
The Murphys Irish Pub was established in 2016. Before it became a major casualty of COVID-19, it was rescued by Jessica and Anthony Delaney who reopened the
imbibe-a-torium in August 2020. Anthony had already been running the popular "Thursday Night Live Music Experiment" evening for about two years and Jessica was the former manager of the Pub. As the Covid-19 pandemic subsides, Jessica and Anthony have been slowly adding more opened days. They'll be reintroducing previously successful entertainment evenings, which make the Pub the #1 spot for the locals... who are expecting to see Vinyl Mondays and the very popular Wednesday Open Mic Night back soon. (Hint, Hint, you two).
Jessica and Anthony have created a memorable experience with delicious Irish-inspired pub food, a great beer selection, as well as fantastic local wines. Local banter, live music, and a family-friendly setting, you’ll find it all here at Murphys Irish Pub. Whether you’re coming in to grab a bite, meet for business, or socialize with friends, you’ll be sure to enjoy the best of Ireland in our quaint village of Murphys.
