The story of La Folia begins with passion and a little mischief. Through a lot of love (and a lot of sampling), winemaker Ryan Teeter’s first Zinfandel was big, beautiful and commanding. While he sat tasting the spoils of his first harvest, Vivaldi's "La Folia" played over his sound system. 

"That music is gorgeous! It totally describes everything I’m tasting in this wine. What’s it called?," he asked. 

“La Folia,” his friend replied. “It means 'The madness.'”

Milliaire Winery is a family-owned winery founded by Liz and Steve Millier in 1983. In 1990, they moved to the old "Flying A" gas station on Main Street, which was quickly dubbed the "Roadside Chateau." For many years, the "Roadside Chateau" was utilized for all operations.
