The story of La Folia begins with passion and a little mischief. Through a lot of love (and a lot of sampling), winemaker Ryan Teeter’s first Zinfandel was big, beautiful and commanding. While he sat tasting the spoils of his first harvest, Vivaldi's "La Folia" played over his sound system.
"That music is gorgeous! It totally describes everything I’m tasting in this wine. What’s it called?," he asked.
“La Folia,” his friend replied. “It means 'The madness.'”
The rest, they say, is history.

Beautiful vines begin their full life circle in just a summer growing cycle as the vines begin from dormant stumps. Life appears with florescent green shoots that grow quickly into lush canopies, tiny orbs change to plump clusters, and then the green canopies become auburn fall colors. At last, the ripened grapes are ready to morph into the sacred nectar known as Vina Moda award winning wine.
